DJ Randy G
Randy’s DJ career started as a kid making mix tapes for his friends. When he started college, he began doing it professionally, and is now the longest-tenured Instant Request DJ. Outside of DJing, Randy works in advertising, and hosts a weekly trivia pub quiz. (But DJing is his biggest passion.) Outside of all that, he enjoys traveling, writing, and being outdoors in nature as much as possible. Randy prides himself on his creativity behind the decks and being able to play the hits from any era while also sprinkling in the hidden gems and forgotten favorites.
Randy G was the DJ for our wedding reception and we were very happy with his services. Randy did an excellent job of making announcements (cake cutting) on schedule and of watching for our cues to turn down the dinner music for speeches. He also pronounced everyone’s names correctly for the Grand March, which made me happy (we had some tough ones). During the dance, Randy was attentive to our requests and did a great job filling in with additional music that matched our tastes. There were many children in attendance, so we requested that the kid-friendly songs (Hokey Pokey, Chicken Dance, etc) be played early in the night. Randy took care of this and the kids had a blast! We were really pleased with how the evening played out and have nothing but praise for Randy and Instant Request.
Instant Request was very easy to work with. Everything was done online from payment to creating your own playlist. Our DJ, Randy G. was fantastic! Randy was professional and super easy to work with. We had so many guests compliment our DJ. The only time the dance floor was not packed was when guests took a break for pizza! Highly recommend Instant Request and Randy G. for any party!
Instant request was so wonderful to work with, very good at communication! Randy was our DJ and he kept the party going the WHOLE NIGHT! Our dance floor was packed and we had so many guests comment on how great the song choices were! We would 100% recommend Instant Request!
Oh my gosh Randy G couldn’t have been better. He kept checking in with us for any changes/times. He even ensured he was saying everyone’s names correctly. It was a formal wedding and he was dressed perfect. He really made our day special!
We had a great experience with Instant Request DJ! Not only was it super affordable, it was also super easy with their portal online to fill out all of the information. They were also incredibly flexible with us through many changes to our reception date due to COVID and we couldn’t be more thankful for that. Randy was great on the day of our reception. We didn’t have a traditional reception, again due to COVID, and he was willing to work with us and make sure that all of our wishes came true!
Instant Request DJ Entertainment is a very professional company. They are organized and knowledgeable, they ask the questions that give them the insight to know how you want your event to go even if you don’t know how to put it into words. Randy was our DJ and he was fabulous, he played the music that kept our guest and party going all night, no lulls, everyone felt like they knew what to expect with out having a DJ that was constantly talking. He really made our wedding the party everyone is still talking about. We are so happy with Randy and Instant Request DJ!!! They’re the best!!
Instant Request and our DJ Randy were outstanding. The experience my Bride and I had was phenomenal, from meeting at the Instant Request headquarters to the last song at our reception. We were shown how to navigate their website and we were able to select songs we wanted played and not played. We selected a handful of songs and DJ Randy took control of our reception and kept our guests on the dance floor until the very end of the night. We also used up lighting and that looked amazing along with our decorations and the up lighting was very reasonably priced. The night was perfect and DJ Randy and Instant Request only made it better. My Bride and I could not be more pleased and would recommend Instant Request DJ Entertainment in a heartbeat. Thank You!
Our DJ was amazing! Got there early set up everything transitioned everything well. Everything went exactly as we had hoped. Spoke with him on the phone to iron out the details ahead of time, and then day of checked with us and kept us in the loop as far as timing and moving from one portion of the night to the other. Was never pushy. In addition to that they were able to slow a song down for us that we wanted to use for our first dance. He was totally into the music as well and were having a good time. Again, I would HIGHLY recommend instant request again.
Just wanted to say that Randy was phenomenal at our wedding reception on 11/14. He was easy to work with and was absolutely fire with the music selection! (Myself and a number of friends especially loved the string of punk songs that he played.)
Randy Grubba, our DJ, exceeded all my expectations as our DJ. He was exactly what my husband and I were looking for. He was friendly, outgoing, and always kept us on time with the reception events! You could not have picked a better DJ for us! What I liked best about Instant Request was that the event planner was all online and that we never had to meet in person multiple times with the DJ to go over the wedding. Having so many other appointments with other wedding vendors this made the DJ aspect of the wedding a breeze. Not only that but the staff and DJ were both super nice over the phone and email, making me much more relaxed and excited about the event! I would recommend Instant Request to all my friends getting married who want a great DJ at their event!
Our DJ was incredible. He read the room and played music everyone was dancing to. Our aunts and uncles who dont dance were on the floor all night long! I couldn’t be happier! Randy was absolutely amazing! The company gives you a form to fill out online with all of the details you want for the night. Randy and I talked about the night a week before and he knew exactly what I wanted. He asked me 3 times throughout the night if I was ready to start speeches, dances or the tosses. Otherwise he handled the night and everyone LOVED the music!
We really enjoyed working with Randy from Instant Request DJ! Instant Request did a great job interviewing us and matching our style to our DJ Randy! He did a fantastic job reading our crowd of guests and blending older classics with newer, more modern music. He came prepared with all the equipment we would need for the ceremony and reception and was super flexible and able to communicate even our unique guests. The process of picking music from Instant Request’s website was fun, easy,and pain free! We would definitely recommend Instant Request and Randy!
Instant Request was exactly what we were hoping for in a DJ. They are affordable, flexible, and so fun! Our DJ was Randy. He called us a few days before our wedding and went over all the details with us. He was on top of everything and knew exactly the vibe we were hoping for. Months before the wedding we picked out our music and created a custom playlist. He played music from our playlist but also read the crowd. One little hiccup was his laptop was having issues so a few times the music would go out for a few seconds. Honestly this didn’t bother us because we all continued to sing and dance even when the music went out. He had someone bring him a replacement laptop and the problem was solved. I also appreciated how he checked in with us multiple times during the night for schedule purposes: first dance, caking cutting, etc. We highly recommend Instant Request!
DJ Randy did an awesome job of playing a variety of music at our wedding. We really enjoyed creating our own personalized playlist as well. Towards the end of the night, I ended up just circling the essential songs to be played and Randy did an awesome job of following through on all those requests. Thanks Randy!
Instant Request was really easy to work with! I come from a family of musicians and put a lot of thought and energy into choosing our ceremony/cocktail hour live musicians so we were looking for a “tried and true” option for the DJ portion of our night that wouldn’t require much effort from us. Our coordinator recommended Instant Request and we were very satisfied! We loved how easy it was to book online and Instant Request was always quick to get back to us. They were very flexible when we needed to reschedule due to COVID. We were also happy with the price! Neither of us know much about how to put together a playlist and we loved the music planner for that, we gave our DJ some pretty broad guidance for what type of event we were having and Randy did a great job! We got compliments from our guests and thoroughly enjoyed ourselves all night!
First, I want to thank Instant request for being flexible during the COVID-19 pandemic. Secondly, I want to thank Randy for doing our wedding ceremony/reception. He was awesome.10/10. The day was perfect and so was the music.

Randy was a great DJ! He kept the dance floor packed and was right on time with everything we asked for. He was very available to us in the weeks leading up to the wedding, and was helpful in making some timing/song decisions. I would definitely recommend him!
We loved having Randy Grubba as our DJ through Instant Request! He was easy to communicate with ahead of time, followed (and helped us follow!) our timeline for the reception, and was very professional. He communicated well with the other vendors to make sure we had the most special day. Randy played our must-plays and was responsive when I told him he could take more requests by guests the day of. Our guests had the BEST time dancing! I was the third daughter to use Instant Request in my family for a wedding, and they are the best!
We had an amazing experience with our DJ. We got married in February this year and had Randy as our DJ. He helped us prepare well and communicated excellently on our plans and gave great suggestions to keep the flow of our reception going. He played amazing music and honored our wishes. We kept people on the dance floor all night long and even got an encore when he was closing down. Great job Randy!!
