DJ Tom C

Tom is an experienced DJ and been with Instant Request for over 8 years. He has DJed 100’s of events. Tom Coughlin currently lives in St Paul, MN where he skates frequently on his long board to local record shops and thrift shops digging for vinyl records to sell and trade. Originally from Chippewa Falls, WI, Tom moved to MN to attend McNally Smith College.

Tom has a special passion for music, starting out playing guitar with a goal to mimic Jimi Hendrix. At about 17 Tom bought his first pair of turntables and since then he has been building his skills as a DJ. As he has grown, so has his personal record library. Tom also performs around the twin cities metro as part of a hip hop duo .

We cannot say enough about how great of a job he did! The sound system worked well for both our ceremony and reception, which exceeded our expectations since it was an outdoor wedding and we didn’t totally know what our day would entail. The lighting also helped create a fun dancing atmosphere. I like how Instant Request has a very reasonable rate and takes into account the customer’s wishes to match up a DJ that fits their needs. Not having to find our own DJ through other sites made it a lot easier on us for planning our wedding.  We couldn’t even find any other service remotely in the same price range for how long our DJ provided his services and the quality was outstanding! Thank you so much for providing such a classy DJ for us and helping us with planning. He was very responsive via e-mail prior to the wedding and kept the communication open through the entire process. He met us at a nearby restaurant prior to the wedding and was very helpful in assisting us structure our day - from the moment he was on the clock to the last song at the end of the night. He was very receptive to our ideas and had many other good suggestions from other experiences - plenty of great input on how to set our day perfectly. Instant Request had everything we could ever ask for and more! Even helped get SKOL chant goin! Instant request has a talented group of DJs. Their equipment and technology appears to be top of the line. Their website has a great catalog of songs and an event planner that helps organize everything from cocktail music to introductions to speeches to the do not play list and to the must play songs. The event planner really helped organize the timeline of events that follow the ceremony (or starting with the ceremony) and the process of beginning to paint the picture for our wedding day. We were told that any songs not in their library they should be able to add them provided there is a copy available on iTunes or YouTube. When the day finally came everything that we envisioned came to life and Charlie was a huge part of that! What is most important to Charlie was that whatever made us happiest - and he made sure to take care of whatever that was! We trusted him to keep the flow of the night exactly how we and the guests wanted it to be but if we wanted something he was there to deliver it for us. I couldn't be happier with Instant Request! If you are going with the black-tie option I would recommend you select DJ Charlie D 10 out of 10 times. Skol
