DJ Auctavias

Auctavias grew up in Saint Paul, and has been a musician for as long as he can remember.  He started DJing and rapping in high school, and decided to continue that pursuit by attending school for audio production and engineering.  His biggest challenge in learning to mix his own music is learning what it means to have ownership over his own work.  Auctavias likes to stay active and in shape, and he does so by hitting the gym regularly and rock climbing when he has the opportunity.  His most memorable experience from a wedding was the first time he saw what happens when a St. John’s crowd hears “Piano Man.”  When asked about his language skills, Auctavias claims to speak sarcasm fluently – but is also Fluent in English and Spanish.

We used Instant Request DJ for our wedding day DJ on 9/4/2022 and had an all around great experience! They offer a platform with a very detailed survey to complete to pair you with the best possible DJ and to preselect any songs you may want to make sure is played at your wedding! Three weeks prior to the wedding we were paired with Auctavias and he reached out right away to have a one on one conversation so that he could make sure he knew everything we wanted and could ask any questions. And he did an amazing job the day of the wedding, from running the ceremony sound system, to being MC and DJ for the reception. He was very organized, making sure he knew what needed to be announced and when. And once the dancing started it never ended! The dance floor was full all night and we had the time of our lives! We had many guest complimenting how fun our wedding was, some even saying it was the most fun wedding they have been to. And I can't help but think part of that was due to the dance floor that Auctavias and Instant Request kept going all night long (including an end of night encore when demanded by the guests)!
