DJ Randy G

Randy’s DJ career started as a kid making mix tapes for his friends. When he started college, he began doing it professionally, and is now the longest-tenured Instant Request DJ. Outside of DJing, Randy works in advertising, and hosts a weekly trivia pub quiz. (But DJing is his biggest passion.) Outside of all that, he enjoys traveling, writing, and being outdoors in nature as much as possible. Randy prides himself on his creativity behind the decks and being able to play the hits from any era while also sprinkling in the hidden gems and forgotten favorites.

Randy G was the DJ for our wedding reception and we were very happy with his services. Randy did an excellent job of making announcements (cake cutting) on schedule and of watching for our cues to turn down the dinner music for speeches. He also pronounced everyone’s names correctly for the Grand March, which made me happy (we had some tough ones). During the dance, Randy was attentive to our requests and did a great job filling in with additional music that matched our tastes. There were many children in attendance, so we requested that the kid-friendly songs (Hokey Pokey, Chicken Dance, etc) be played early in the night. Randy took care of this and the kids had a blast! We were really pleased with how the evening played out and have nothing but praise for Randy and Instant Request.

Our DJ was amazing! Got there early set up everything transitioned everything well. Everything went exactly as we had hoped. Spoke with him on the phone to iron out the details ahead of time, and then day of checked with us and kept us in the loop as far as timing and moving from one portion of the night to the other. Was never pushy. In addition to that they were able to slow a song down for us that we wanted to use for our first dance. He was totally into the music as well and were having a good time. Again, I would HIGHLY recommend instant request again.

Our DJ was incredible. He read the room and played music everyone was dancing to. Our aunts and uncles who dont dance were on the floor all night long! I couldn’t be happier! Randy was absolutely amazing! The company gives you a form to fill out online with all of the details you want for the night. Randy and I talked about the night a week before and he knew exactly what I wanted. He asked me 3 times throughout the night if I was ready to start speeches, dances or the tosses. Otherwise he handled the night and everyone LOVED the music!

DJ Randy did an awesome job of playing a variety of music at our wedding. We really enjoyed creating our own personalized playlist as well. Towards the end of the night, I ended up just circling the essential songs to be played and Randy did an awesome job of following through on all those requests. Thanks Randy!
