Happy Birthday DJ Rachel!
Adopted from China, Rachel was raised in Minneapolis. One of her fondest memories is listening to pop radio in the car with her parents and singing wildly inappropriate lyrics that she didn’t understand as a kid. Throughout school, she played the trombone in concert, jazz, marching, and pep band. Rachel’s background is in film and videography, as her dad owned one of the last independent video rental stores in Minnesota. However, she is known amongst her friends as the one who handles the aux in the car. She enjoys pop punk, classic jazz, EDM, and hip hop/rap. But, Rachel likes to discover new sounds and adapt her playlists to audience preferences.

When she’s not DJing, Rachel works in marketing and runs a creative production agency for social impact organizations. She also enjoys traveling to quirky roadside attractions, yoga, attending concerts, watching movies, learning about cephalopods, and spending time with her friends and family.

Happy Birthday DJ Erin!
Erin was born in Northern Alabama and raised in Southern Minnesota, and considers both home. She has always loved having music in all aspects of her life. As a student they played clarinet, sang in choir, and performed in musical theater. She went to undergrad for English, but their love of music drew her to search for a profession where she could learn to create music. Aside from DJing, she also hosts trivia nights at bars, and writes freelance.

When they’re not working or enjoying music, Erin spends time with her friends. Their interests include movies, fashion, cooking, baking, and spending time on the beach in the sun. Erin also has a pet cat who is 17 years old, they’ve had him since 3rd grade.

Happy Birthday Stephen!
Originally from Montana, Stephen moved to Minnesota to attend music school. He studied and received a degree in Audio Engineering & Production. During and after school Stephen started producing EDM and Hip Hop music. He soon found himself falling in love with the feel and sound of vinyl records. This started his journey of becoming a DJ but learning to master old school vinyl mixing. Stephen loves to scratch the old school way and has stacks of ruined LPs to prove it. Stephen has been DJing for more then 10 years and has done over a 100 events and weddings.

During the week Stephen is a Marketing consultant. When not DJing or working Stephen loves collecting records, writing, and finding time for yoga. He also loves cheering for the Vikings. Skol!

Happy Birthday DJ Hank!
Hank is born and raised in South Minneapolis. He has always been involved in group events and celebrations. In fact he works as a Program Director for youth Summer Camps with the YMCA. Hank is a skilled guitar player and has played around many campfires. It was his knack for performance that turned him on to DJing. Hank loves all types of music and frequents concerts around the Twin Cities. Finding new bands has become a passion for him.
When not DJing Hank loves to travel. He likes to visit a new country every year. His most recent trip was to Thailand.

Hank also love the outdoors, everything from camping to backpacking to skiing. He enjoys playing both Disc Golf and Ultimate Frisbee and plays in local leagues.

Happy Birthday DJ Alex! Alex Knight started DJing

Happy Birthday DJ Alex!
Alex Knight started DJing at the age of 13 when he got his first pair of turntables. He began digging through the crates at local record shops, as well as creating his own music. He’s now entertained at over 500 weddings and events in his 12 years with Instant Request, making him one of our most sought after Black Tie DJs.

In addition to making a name for himself in Minnesota, Alex was a resident DJ on two very popular cruise ships, having traveled to over 50 countries and counting throughout the world while at sea. He also spent a year living down under in Melbourne, spinning tunes at venues throughout Australia. Recently, Alex has been working with the Minnesota Vikings, DJing during the official pregame festivities outside of US Bank Stadium, as well as charity events for the organization!

With that being said, Alex is known for his ability to rock any type of crowd with his knowledge and skills in mixing any genre of music as a DJ, confidence as an MC, as well as helping coordinate the entire day. He prides himself on making couples feel at ease with his professional, adaptable style and dedication to making their big day memorable.

When he’s not DJing, he enjoys spending time with his newborn daughter, traveling and attending concerts.
