Eric is a Twin Cities native with music in his DNA. He spent nearly 20 years as a radio DJ at local stations like 93X and KQRS, and during that time discovered a passion for live events. For over a decade he’s been one of the go-to DJs at Instant Request, spinning for hundreds of weddings, parties, and celebrations.

A lifelong musician, Eric has played guitar in several projects over the years, with songs that even found their way onto blockbuster movie soundtracks. His quick wit and polished delivery—honed through national voiceover work for brands like Mountain Dew, 7-Eleven, and Home Depot—make him just as comfortable on the mic as behind the decks, creating unforgettable moments as both DJ and MC.

We attended a wedding where they hired a DJ through a company similar to Instant Request but they only played songs through SoundCloud and didn’t have so many classic songs available! My husband and I (parents of the bride) recommend without reservation Instant Request DJ Entertainment…with one caveat - that the bride and groom book a ‘Black Tie DJ’. It is well worth the cost of the upgrade to personally select well in advance of the wedding date the individual who will deejay this significant event. Matt and Mitch of Instant Request responded promptly to all phone calls and emails. Prices were competitive. Communications were truthful. (Sadly, in the wedding industry, many vendors overpromise and underdeliver. This was NOT the case with Instant Request!) Our daughter and fiancé booked DJ Eric F. They felt an immediate connection with him during their personal consultation and felt totally confident he’d do an amazing job at their wedding ceremony and reception. (It was a huge relief to them to personally select their own DJ and to put aside the horror stories one reads of deejaying gone wrong.) They selected Black Tie Eric F ten months before their wedding date, and during these ten months they never stressed about their music. Eric did not disappoint. He met their every expectation and then some. Eric was absolutely phenomenal. He was professional and efficient and his setup was top of the line. Everyone commented on the audio for the outdoor ceremony. The volume was perfect. Eric’s timing for all aspects of the ceremony was spot on. After the ceremony, he quickly had the background music going for the cocktail party. Again perfect volume. He perfectly managed gathering all guests together for a group photo. For the speeches, he’d set up a stand with a microphone. Again perfect volume, no static. So easy for those giving the speeches. And when it came to the dance, he managed perfectly the first dance and the father/daughter dance. He packed the dance floor. He read the crowd perfectly and kept the party going until midnight. We booked Instant Request at the recommendation of a friend and are so happy that we did. It was extremely affordable and we had so much fun using the planner to pick our music ahead of time. Instead of clinking glasses we brought a putting mat and did a "hole-in-one" for our guests to get us to kiss at the suggestion of the planner and this was such a fun and interactive addition to our dinner. Eric did a fantastic job during our ceremony social hour dinner and dance. We had a small guest list but our dance floor was still bumping thanks to his efforts. Their communication was great, they provided lots of reminders (which was helpful with bride brain), they told us what was included in our package, and answered any questions we had. Our assigned DJ - Eric - was AMAZING! We chatted with him on the phone beforehand, and he was extremely helpful. He had a lot of great experience and was able to help us figure out any last minute final details. Eric crushed it the day of and went above and beyond to make sure things went smoothly. Pretty sure there were tons of people on the dance floor all night as well!

I would highly recommend Instant Request and to upgrade to their black tie program! It is totally worth it because you are able to pick the DJ and meet with them a week or 2 before your wedding and discuss how you want your wedding music to go. Our DJ Eric was the best! We booked Instant Request at the recommendation of a friend and are so happy that we did. It was extremely affordable and we had so much fun using the planner to pick our music ahead of time. Instead of clinking glasses we brought a putting mat and did a "hole-in-one" for our guests to get us to kiss at the suggestion of the planner and this was such a fun and interactive addition to our dinner. Eric did a fantastic job during our ceremony social hour dinner and dance. We had a small guest list but our dance floor was still bumping thanks to his efforts. He helped to keep the night on track as far as the schedule and took that job off of the bride and groom's plate which was much appreciated.
