DJ Eric F

Eric is a Twin Cities native with music in his DNA. He spent nearly 20 years as a radio DJ at local stations like 93X and KQRS, and during that time discovered a passion for live events. For over a decade he’s been one of the go-to DJs at Instant Request, spinning for hundreds of weddings, parties, and celebrations.

A lifelong musician, Eric has played guitar in several projects over the years, with songs that even found their way onto blockbuster movie soundtracks. His quick wit and polished delivery—honed through national voiceover work for brands like Mountain Dew, 7-Eleven, and Home Depot—make him just as comfortable on the mic as behind the decks, creating unforgettable moments as both DJ and MC.

My husband and I (parents of the bride) recommend without reservation Instant Request DJ Entertainment…with one caveat - that the bride and groom book a ‘Black Tie DJ’. It is well worth the cost of the upgrade to personally select well in advance of the wedding date the individual who will deejay this significant event. Matt and Mitch of Instant Request responded promptly to all phone calls and emails. Prices were competitive. Communications were truthful. (Sadly, in the wedding industry, many vendors overpromise and underdeliver. This was NOT the case with Instant Request!) Our daughter and fiancé booked DJ Eric F. They felt an immediate connection with him during their personal consultation and felt totally confident he’d do an amazing job at their wedding ceremony and reception. (It was a huge relief to them to personally select their own DJ and to put aside the horror stories one reads of deejaying gone wrong.) They selected Black Tie Eric F ten months before their wedding date, and during these ten months they never stressed about their music. Eric did not disappoint. He met their every expectation and then some. Eric was absolutely phenomenal. He was professional and efficient and his setup was top of the line. Everyone commented on the audio for the outdoor ceremony. The volume was perfect. Eric’s timing for all aspects of the ceremony was spot on. After the ceremony, he quickly had the background music going for the cocktail party. Again perfect volume. He perfectly managed gathering all guests together for a group photo. For the speeches, he’d set up a stand with a microphone. Again perfect volume, no static. So easy for those giving the speeches. And when it came to the dance, he managed perfectly the first dance and the father/daughter dance. He packed the dance floor. He read the crowd perfectly and kept the party going until midnight. I would highly recommend Instant Request and to upgrade to their black tie program! It is totally worth it because you are able to pick the DJ and meet with them a week or 2 before your wedding and discuss how you want your wedding music to go. Our DJ Eric was the best! We booked Instant Request at the recommendation of a friend and are so happy that we did. It was extremely affordable and we had so much fun using the planner to pick our music ahead of time. Instead of clinking glasses we brought a putting mat and did a "hole-in-one" for our guests to get us to kiss at the suggestion of the planner and this was such a fun and interactive addition to our dinner. Eric exceeded our expectations. His professional yet laid back/relax style was perfect for our wedding. He was great at speaking when we needed him to and prepping the guests for dinner, dancing and everything between. He had a great playlist for the wedding and kept people on the dance floor all night! I’d highly recommend him to others.

After lots of consideration, we chose Instant Request for our wedding on June 4, 2016. I love music, but this was the most important part to my husband. We upgraded to the Black Tie DJ and chose DJ Eric, who also brought a trainee along with him…. I think people throught we were extra fancy because it looked like we had 2 DJs! We had our 1:1 with Eric and went through everything we expected for the ceremony and reception. He very professional and accommodated all of our requests! He made announcements as we needed and was a lot of fun with the music and guests. Instant Request was great to work with. They were incredibly responsive and easy to communicate with from the beginning. I loved the portal that allowed us to create our own playlist and add in any song for big moments like first dance grand entrance etc. A couple weeks before our wedding we were assigned Eric as our DJ. He understood our vision and executed all of the music throughout the day flawlessly. We had silent disco at our venue Pinewood at the end of the night and the dance floor was completely packed. His choice of music really filled the floor and was on of our favorite wedding memories.

Since they worked directly with the venue for billing and set up details it was super easy for us to sit back and leave the logistics to them! Our DJ Eric was so great to work with. We loved him after just having a phone call to discuss our details. He stuck exactly to schedule and our requested music. He even perfectly timed our recessional song to start when the chorus of the song hit as requested. We received a ton of compliments on our music and the dance floor was packed the entire night. They also took care of the uplighting and that turned out great–really setting the ambiance in our reception space. We definitely would recommend to any newly engaged couple!

I would highly recommend Instant Request and to upgrade to their black tie program! It is totally worth it because you are able to pick the DJ and meet with them a week or 2 before your wedding and discuss how you want your wedding music to go. Our DJ Eric was the best! He hit our ceremony music just how we wanted and was able to get EVERYONE on the dance floor at once following the start of the reception! You get to fill out a profile with all the information you are able to fit and even pick the songs you want to be played! They are great and do not disappoint!

We received so many recommendations from various wedding vendors and couples who had previously used Instant Request at their own weddings – and with our big day now in the past it's easy to see why! Matt actually reached out to us inquiring about our plans before we even communicated with him that we needed to postpone! He genuinely took the time to get to know our personalities music taste and vision for the event during our pre-wedding meeting. We booked Instant Request at the recommendation of a friend and are so happy that we did. It was extremely affordable and we had so much fun using the planner to pick our music ahead of time. Instead of clinking glasses we brought a putting mat and did a "hole-in-one" for our guests to get us to kiss at the suggestion of the planner and this was such a fun and interactive addition to our dinner. Eric did a fantastic job during our ceremony social hour dinner and dance. We had a small guest list but our dance floor was still bumping thanks to his efforts. He helped to keep the night on track as far as the schedule and took that job off of the bride and groom's plate which was much appreciated. We would definitely recommend Eric and Instant Request to anyone!
