DJ Hannah S

Hannah grew up in White Bear Lake, MN, surrounded by the sounds of her dad’s guitar and a deep love of rhythm. Her musical journey started on the piano,  but it really took off when she joined her high school’s first-ever drumline.  In college, she found herself working campus music events which was a fun job that opened her up to many music styles.  That love for live sound turned into a passion for DJing and working behind the scenes. One of her most unforgettable experiences was being part of the stage crew for the very first Eaux Claires festival. Helping build the stages, load gear, and watch artists like Lizzo and Sylvan Esso from behind the scenes gave her a whole new appreciation for performance and production.

These days, Hannah works as an engineering technician, but music remains a constant thread in her life. Whether she’s throwing together a wordplay-themed playlist before going to see a movie (yes, “Sandstorm” before Dune 2 was absolutely intentional), or catching the U of M marching band’s fall concert, her love for sound, rhythm, and creativity shines through.

 Hannah is an expert hobby collector, likes sailing, tai chi, cross-country skiing, curling, and hiking. She’s a board game enthusiast and a loyal supporter of all things Minnesota sports—especially Gophers men’s hockey.
