DJ Rick A

Rick is a MN native, raised by a professional dancer and a rock drummer. Music has been part of his life since day one. He started DJing with Instant Request in 1997, and continues to teach music and dance lessons, while also playing with his group “Buckets and Tap Shoes.” Rick is a dance instructor and choreographer. He has lead 100’s of classes and taught students of all ages. Rick has performed in touring shows as a DJ and Dancer. He has also wrote, directed and choreographed plays and stages performances of his own.

Rick has become a one of the most beloved DJs on staff for his outgoing personality, and ability to connect with all ages on the dance floor.

Even when a song flopped, he quickly moved it into the next song, pushing the party forward. Songs were blended into each other in fun combinations, and everyone had a blast. He even was great about checking in with us when we were away from the dance floor to make sure everything was perfect. He also provided the music for our ceremony, without having a rehearsal. Everything was perfect after one phone call, including adding songs to their library specifically for us. When we had a mishap during the ceremony, he saved the day by discretely raising the music and making it look intentional. I would 1000% recommend him and Instant Request for any event.

RICK WAS AWESOME! Seriously! He was so great! I’m so glad we paid extra to be able to request him specifically (black tie package). He checked in on us numerous times, kept the dancing going ALL night, switched things up when plans changed… and my favorite part of all is what he did with our opening song. We knew what song we wanted, Prince ‘Let’s go crazy,’ but he had a great idea about timing it out and it was perfect and set the tone for the night! So happy we chose Instant Request for our Dj.
