DJ Theo G

Born in the Twin Cities and raised in a small town in northern Wisconsin, Theo’s roots in music run deep. As a third-generation musician it was almost inevitable. Both of his parents are songwriters and musicians, and he’s been playing drums since the age of nine. Music was the heartbeat of every family gathering, with dance floors forming in living rooms and rhythm woven into everyday life. So when Theo decided to pick up DJing, he took to it naturally. After high school, Theo hit the road—literally. He toured the U.S. and the U.K. playing drums with his band.   One of his favorite moments? Playing for thousands of chanting fans in Glasgow, Scotland.  It was electric, unforgettable, and proof of the power of music to bring people together.

These days, Theo is a sound engineer and lighting tech at the iconic First Avenue, helping make the magic happen for other performers night after night.  When he’s not behind the decks or behind the scenes, you’ll find him gaming, hiking, or sketching.

Your group did our party at Lafayette Club July 17th. I just wanted to say a big thank you. Your DJ Theo did a great job and we so appreciated it. He just did everything as we planned and it worked out so well. So I wanted to thank you so much. It was kind of a different crowd because we're a little old/older. He was a pleasure to work with and thank you so much. Your company was great. So we will certainly recommend you to others and thanks for your good work. We certainly appreciate it.

We had Theo as our DJ at our wedding reception. He was absolutely fantastic! He really took all of our ideas and requests and put his own spin on them. We loved how he kept in touch with us throughout the night to keep the party on track, and there was never a moment where there weren’t people on the dance floor. Theo did a great job of incorporating all the elements you need into a dance, interspersing slow songs into the fast sets at just the right time. I loved working with the online planner that instant request uses before the big day, it really helped to get ideas going and to organize all of the pieces of our reception. We would highly recommend this service to anyone else in the Twin Cities area!

We booked this group for our wedding reception and we couldn't have found better, they paired us with Theo and he was PHENOMENAL! Our wedding dance went from 8pm to midnight and the crowd never stopped dancing - everyone had a blast and at the end of the night we had  people still on the dance floor cheering for another song. We had a blast that night and they made our wedding day so memorable! Theo also played the music for our ceremony and social hour and he was ON IT. Our expectations were exceeded!
