DJ Xavier H

Xavier moved to the Twin Cities from Detroit, MI. His father bought a restaurant here and moved the family to Minnesota. Xavier worked in his family restaurant. He started DJing when his family upgraded the restaurant and added a dance floor. He has DJed 100’s of events and parties. He DJs regularly with his friends 5k color Dash events and DJs as part of a rap group. He enjoys skateboarding and reading but not at the same time. Dave and Busters is his favorite place to take his kids and to blow off some steam. He is also a skilled painter that works with acrylics and creates abstract art. Xavier is fluent in Spanish and is learning German.

We had a multicultural wedding and catering to both cultures/ languages were important to us for the music aspect. We wanted someone who spoke both Spanish and English and knew both types of music. Xavier did an amazing job! The music portal was user friendly and well organized. All of my follow up questions were answered promptly. Just had Xavier DJ our wedding. He was great! He was super open to letting us make a playlist for both out cocktail hour and dance floor. I've heard some DJ only allow you to request a certain number of songs for must play and do not play. Xavier did not cap us on any of these and was super fun during our planning session. We also had to move location a couple times from our ceremony to cocktail hour to reception and he was able to make all transitions seamless. Highly recommend Xavier!

Instant Request was amazing to work with. From the beginning, they were transparent about pricing and responded to questions very promptly. We were paired with DJ Xavier H. and to say he did an amazing job would be an understatement. He had the dance floor full for 5 hours straight at our reception and adapted music to the vibes of the night - quickly switching a song if he recognized it wasn't as much of a hit. Throughout cocktail hour and dinner, he was incredibly professional and communicated the whole time, making the timeline run seamlessly. We were really impressed with Xavier! He did a great job leading up to the wedding and the entire night at the reception! The dance floor was packed the whole night, which we loved. We had multiple people come up to us to tell us how much they loved the DJ. Before the wedding, he confirmed the plan over the phone and followed up with any outstanding questions. Xavier was very professional in balancing any requests from our guests which didn’t perfectly align with what the groom and I had in mind. We were a little concerned when initially booking with Instant Request since we did not have a DJ assigned until 3 weeks in advance of our wedding but we were very happy with the online planning tool and our DJ!
